Auction Fees & Commissions

We don’t think consigning your items at auction should be like buying a Time Share in the 1990s. That’s why the Pacific Northwest Auction House takes pride in being 100% transparent and upfront with all fees, commissions, and premiums.
We don’t hide our fees.
We don’t make you call us to “discuss” our fees.
We don’t play favorites with others and then make you pay more to make up the difference.
We earn our fees, commissions, and premiums by taking great photos and creating full descriptions of your items, and by aggressively marketing each auction and special items via email, on social media, and through other marketing channels. All of this to ensure your items sell for the highest price – netting you the most money!
Auction Commission Schedule
(Seller's Fees)
PLEASE NOTE: All commissions are charged on a per-item (per-lot) basis, with no minimum seller’s commission. However, if a general merchandise lot or item does not sell at auction, $1.95 will be charged as a NO SALE fee. (There are two primary reasons a lot may result in a NO SALE: The lot received no bids; or the highest bid did not reach the Reserve Price you set. Setting a Reserve Price is your option, though this often discourages bidders until/unless the Reserve Price is met.)
The minimum starting bid for all items/lots is $5.00.
After the auction has completed, we’ll provide you with a detailed report of your items and give (or mail) you a check (less any commissions and fees). Our commissions vary depending on the final selling price and the type of item.
We charge a reduced seller’s commission on the following items, though please read all notes, and please contact us if you have any questions:
Coins, Stamps, Sports (and similar) Card Collections – When you consign a minimum of 10 lots of any of these items in a single auction, we charge a flat 10% of the final selling price as the seller’s commission. However, lots that do not sell will be assessed the $1.95 NO SALE fee per lot. Please Note: Sports and Celebrity Memorabilia are treated as General Merchandise and standard seller’s auction commissions and fees apply.
Gold and Silver Bullion – When you consign gold or silver bullion, we charge no seller’s commission on the final selling price. However, lots that do not sell will be assessed the $1.95 NO SALE fee per lot.
Properly titled and running Automobiles, Recreational Vehicles, Motorcycles, ATVs, and similar land vehicles – When you consign any of these vehicle types, we charge a flat 10% of the final selling price (with a $50 minimum commission) as the seller’s commission up to a maximum $1,000. However, vehicle lots that do not sell will be assessed a $50 NO SALE fee per lot. Please Note: Trailers, Campers, and similar non-motorized items are treated as General Merchandise and standard seller’s auction commissions and fees apply.
Properly titled and working Boats and Personal Watercraft – When you consign any of these vehicle types, we charge a flat 10% of the final selling price (with a minimum $50 commission) as the seller’s commission up to a maximum $1,000. However, vehicle lots that do not sell will be assessed a $50 NO SALE fee per lot. Please Note: Boats less than 19’ in length, Canoes, and Kayaks are treated as General Merchandise and standard seller’s auction commissions and fees apply.
